First Image and Official Synopsis for Pixar’s CARS 2

Look Who's Back!!

When I think of John Lasseter’s last film, Cars, I fondly recall the storyline of the forgotten town of Radiator Springs off of historic Route 66. I think the notion of a town passed by and forgotten is relevant these days, and it struck a chord with me even if the film as a whole didn’t quite capture my imagination as other Pixar efforts have in the past. However, for Cars 2, they are putting that storyline behind them and going overseas. Brad Lewis will make his foray into directing as he joins Lasseter as co-director, with Mater and Lightning McQueen returning for a new adventure.

We now have the official synopsis and image for the film, so hit the jump to check out both. Cars 2 is set to open in 3D on June 24, 2011.

The Doctor goes on the Late Late Show

The Doctor will be meeting Craig Feguson

For those of you who have been living under a rock you might be surprised to know that Doctor Who will be filming this upcoming week (week of November 15th) in the Utah. During this stay the BBC / BBC America is going to be splashing Matt Smith all over various media channels, including tomorrow night (Tuesday the 16th of November) when Matt Smith will be appearing on the Late Late show with Craig Ferguson.

Craig Ferguson, admitted geek and host of The Late Late Show on CBS, has somehow finagled Matt Smith as a guest this coming week, along with a special appearance by the Daleks so he can do a whole show dedicated to Dr. Who. Should be a total blast!!! Check your local CBS station for times and channels.
