Anthony Taylor joins Van this week to discuss a show near and dear to both of them– SPACE: 1999! Anthony has written extensively on 1999 and other Gerry Anderson properties and is generally considered a leading expert on the show. And Van just loves it. Well, mostly the first season. Enjoy as they geek out over this seminal Seventies SF TV spectacular!
Author, editor and comics scribe Jim Beard joins Van this week to discuss his comics and New Pulp writing, superheroes, pulps, and even the classic Batman TV show!
Chris Barnes of Dynamic Ram Audio joins Van this week on the White Rocket show to discuss the art of creating audiobooks and audio dramas. From how to produce them to how Chris got interested in the first place, it’s a wide-ranging discussion of a classic form of entertainment that is suddenly new again.

The Earth Station One crew attended two very cool conventions over the Memorial Day weekend. Mike Faber and Jennifer Hartshorn were guests at TimeGate along with fellow ESO Network personalities Dr. Scott (Doctor Geeks Laboratory), Jason and Rita (Transmissions from Atlantis), Debbie Vigue (The Thirteenth Hour), and Phantom Troublemaker (Earth Station Who). They found time to interview the amazing Moxie Magnus and there’s a rumor going around that they even met a Doctor! Meanwhile, Mike Gordon and the award-winning author Bobby Nash crossed state lines for the Alabama Phoenix Festival, where they met up with Joe Crowe (RevolutionSF podcast) and finally tied Van Allen Plexico (White Rocket podcast) to The Geek Seat!

This Memorial Day weekend the various shows of The ESO Network hit the convention trail. If you’re near any of these conventions, please stop in and say Howdy! And tell the convention that ESO sent ya.
Who dunnit? That’s what the ESO crew investigates this week. Mike, Mike, the award-winning author Bobby Nash, new co-host Jennifer, and Van Allen Plexico seek help from some of their favorite detectives. If only ESO had a butler! Also, friends of the station Anthony Taylor and award-winning artist Mark Maddox join us to honor Ray Harryhausen, Steve Charleson previews the upcoming Alabama Phoenix festival, and our new co-host finds herself in The Geek Seat! All this, plus the usual Rants, Raves, Khan Report and Shout Outs!
