Spider-man talks Spider-manBy Krystal Clark, Source: Blastr.com

There’s no bad blood between Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The Spider-Men recently sat down for an interview in VMan magazine during which they discussed the pros and cons of being a webslinger. And best of all, Maguire gave some much-needed advice on preparing for the Spider-Man phenomenon.

Maguire played reporter to Garfield, who was the magazine’s cover story. He discussed his run in the Broadway play Death of a Salesman, and of course, his role in The Amazing Spider-Man. How much does The Avengers help our Dr. Strange movie prospects?

Doctor Strange headed to the big screen, thanks to the AvengersBy Matthew Jackson, Source: Blastr.com

With just days to go until its U. S. release, The Avengers is already set to be one of the biggest movies in the history of ever, which means it also has the potential to be a springboard for loads of other still-developing Marvel projects. Will the success of The Avengers mean characters like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange will finally hit the big screen?

Kevin Feige’s been a part of the Marvel Movie Universe for more than a decade, and he’s been the driving force of production since the days of Iron Man. No one can dispute Feige’s gobsmacking success at this point, but even he admits there were people in Hollywood who thought his ambitious slate of superhero films was downright crazy. Feisty Stan Lee doesn’t know why Jack Kirby needs Avengers credit

Oh Stan, Dissing Jack all these years laterBy Matthew Jackson, Source: Blastr.com

Most of the time Stan Lee is Smilin’ Stan, the energetic, happy-go-lucky face of Marvel Comics who’s been lauding the joy of comic books for five decades now. But there are things that get him grumpy, and apparently one of those things is asking him why his former partner and Avengers co-creator Jack Kirby’s name doesn’t appear in the credits for Marvel’s The Avengers. It's time for the Muppet Showby Rich Johnston, Source: Bleeding Cool;

It was a cultural crime against humanity. That Roger Langridge’s final Muppet Show comics never saw print at Boom!, caught in the twisting wind between Muppets owners Disney and Marvel and… whatever the hell it was that was going on there.

But in July, Marvel will begin to publish those unseen comics. Four issues of them, entitled Four Seasons. Continue reading

Marvel Comics might be coming to Disney Animation By Marc Bernardin, Source: Blastr.com

When Disney and Marvel got in bed together a few years back, fans were both worried and jazzed: worried that Disney would mousify the comics they love and jazzed at the new possibilities of the House That Stan Lee Built partnering with the animation powerhouse. The former never came to pass, but is the latter actually coming true?

It takes a certain interpretive reading of a few blog posts on the Blue Sky Disney blog, which reports on the various nooks and crannies of Disney’s animation business, but if you choose to read these tea leaves the right way, it could signify some good geek news. Continue reading
