Box Office Buzz: My most anticipated movies of 2013

By Ashley Bergner
Box Office Buzz

cumber-batch-star-trek-into-darkness2012 is going to be a tough year for Hollywood to top. The year’s most anticipated movies — such as “The Hunger Games,” “The Hobbit” and the new Bond movie, “Skyfall” — were, for the most part, relatively well received by fans and also performed quite well at the box office. However, there are quite a few films slated for release in 2013 that look promising, as well, including several sequels to popular franchises.

While there are quite a few films I’m looking forward to this year, here are the top five I’m most excited about: Continue reading

Among a few other tidbits—like, for example, the news that he’s actually never met Man of Steel producer Christopher Nolan—he also said that he didn’t want to go back and watch the Superman film work of Christopher Reeve, or even the TV work of people like Dean Cain: Continue reading

Man of Steel pushed to 2013 (Could The Hobbit be its kryptonite?)

Man of Steel for 2013? Guess SoBy Krystal Clark, Blastr.com

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Super—oh, no it’s not! Superman’s big-screen return has been delayed. Warner Bros. just pushed back Zack Synder’s Man of Steel, which means we have to wait even longer to see Henry Cavill in that famous cape and tights.

The original release date for Man of Steel was set for December 2012, but now it’s been pushed to June 14, 2013. That’s an extra six months tacked on to an already tedious wait time. At first glance, this is a frustrating move on Warner Bros.’ part—but we think there’s a method to their madness. Continue reading
