It’s Official: Karl Urban Is Judge Dredd

He is the LAW!!!

And he won’t be taking his helmet off…

Various websites are reporting In this year’s second least surprising movie announcement (after Joss Whedon to direct The Avengers) the producers of the Judge Dredd movie have confirmed to Empire that Karl (Star Trek, The Lord Of The Rings) Urban will be playing the man in the helmet.

Which may have been a major scoop except that Urban seemed happy to reveal that fact to anybody who asked at Comic-Con.

Still, it’s nice to have it confirmed. And producer Andrew Macdonald also gives this fan-pleasing comment: “He’s not going to take off his helmet.”

The exceptionally busy Urban can also seen the upcoming comic adaptations, RED and Priest.
