Fringe to the CW, maybe?By Trent Moore, Source: Blastr.com

While we wait with bated breath to learn whether Fox will bring the beloved sci-fi drama Fringe back for a fifth season, there’s a new rumor that the show could potentially find second life in an admittedly unlikely place.

We already know the producers have a comic book contingency plan if Fox pulls the plug, TV Guide’s guru Matt Roush has now raised the question of how likely it could be for the show to move to another network. Namely, The CW. Continue reading

Supernatural Coming Back for Series 8By Trent Moore, Source: Blastr.com

With its seventh season winding down on The CW, it wouldn’t be crazy to think the low-rated but beloved monster-hunting series Supernatural might not be long for this world. But don’t tell that to series co-star Jared Padalecki, because he’s already looking forward to season eight.

Talking to Crave Online, Padalecki (Sam Winchester) said he thinks the show is doing well creatively, and that fans would continue to stick around if the series were to come back. Continue reading

The CW network in the States is developing a reboot of the classic telefantasy series Beauty And The Beast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original series, which ran for three series from 1987, starred Linda Hamilton as Catherine and Ron Perlman as Vincent, the sewer-dwelling beast. ‘Supernatural’ Creator Developing Series Adaptation Of Comic ‘Deadman’ For CW

Deadman might be coming to the CW

By NELLIE ANDREEVA, Deadline.com

With Smallville ending its 10-season run this past May, the CW has made launching a new superhero franchise based on a DC property a priority. The network’s first effort this development season is Deadman, a drama based on the DC Comics books by Arnold Drake and Carmine Infantino, which will be written and executive produced by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. The project is about the spirit of a murdered man, Boston Brand, who lives on as he inhabits other people’s bodies and helps them solve crises in their own lives. It is produced by Warner Bros. Get ready for extra-long seasons of Supernatural and Nikita

Supernatual is super long this season!!By Kathie Huddleston, Source: Blastr.com

The CW has decided they want more Supernatural and Nikita. The network has brought the episode order for both series from 22 to 23 episodes for the new fall season. Two additional episodes of Gossip Girl and 90210 have also been ordered for their seasons, bringing their orders up from 22 to 24.

The returning fall show left out of the episode expansion is The Vampire Diaries, due to that show’s extensive post-production requirements. It’s also likely The CW isn’t looking to further exhaust co-showrunner Kevin Williamson, who also is behind the network’s new witchy series, The Secret Circle.

Supernatural is heading into its seventh season, while Nikita will be in its second year. Both series premiere Friday, Sept. 23, with Nikita at 8 p.m. ET and Supernatural at 9.

Apparently adding additional episodes to the four shows is a piece of the plan by new CW president Mark Pedowitz to limit the number of reruns during the season. Pedowitz has also started to build up his mid-season orders.

Does more Supernatural and Nikita put you in a happy place?
