Sin City 2 Gets Release Date, Some Confirmed Cast And 3D Images

Are we ready for the new Sin City??by Brendon Connelly, Source: Bleeding Cool.com

Some confirmations and a couple of surprises made up the official press release promising the imminent start of production on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Personally, I’m still surprised by the fact it’s happening at all.

Right off the bat Dimension films want us to know that Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba will be coming back for more, which leaves a question mark hanging over the other original cast members we’d been expecting. Still plenty of time for the veterans to sign on of course – the film won’t start shooting until later in the Summer, all set for the freshly coined October 4th, 2013 release date.

Here’s the bit of the announcement I really wasn’t expecting, though:

The original SIN CITY broke new ground with its iconic stylish look and grossed over $160 million worldwide. FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR will not only bring fans back to the world that Rodriguez and Miller created, but will also add a new dimension by bringing their unique visual style to life in 3D.

LUCKY EDDIE – A STEEL CITY NOIR TALE

Art: Julian Lopez

This month’s installment of STEEL CITY NOIR called “Lucky Eddie” is live at http://welcometotripcity.com/2012/05/steel-city-noir-lucky-eddie.

Lucky Eddie is written by Vito Delsante with Illustrations by Julian Lopez.

“Lucky Eddie is a story about gambling, something which I’m not very fond of, but I do pretty often,” says Delsante about his latest Steel City Noir tale. “It’s also a story about luck and fate, and how much stock we tend to put in those two things, especially in a casino.”

The Farragut cast

ESO co-host Bobby Nash has officially announced that he wrote a script for the Star Trek fan series, Starship Farragut.

Set in the time of Star Trek: The Original Series, Bobby’s story is called “Conspiracy of Innocence.” The crew of the Farragut discovers an advanced and thriving civilization on a previously uninhabited planet. Captain Carter and Chief Smithfield accept an invitation planet side and beam into an adventure neither of them ever expected.

“As a longtime Star Trek fan, I had a lot of fun writing this one,” says Bobby of the news. “’Conspiracy of Innocence’ will go before cameras this fall. I will keep you updated on things as much as I can. Doubly exciting, this is the first thing I’ve written that will be filmed. I imagine it will seem strange when I see it, but a good kind of strange.”

Starship Farragut’s latest adventure, “The Price of Anything” will be available across the ‘net in August. I watched a rough-cut of this one at the Trek Trax convention recently and it looks great, a very professional looking program. If you’re a Trek fan you will need to check this one out.
