That Hulk TV series could smash onto ABC’s schedule by next year

When ABC’s fall schedule was announced, there was one oft-rumored project that was conspicuously absent: The small-screen reboot of Marvel’s The Hulk, with none other than Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy) attached to produce. Well, we’re happy to report that Bruce Banner’s latest adventure ain’t dead yet.

ABC entertainment president Paul Lee told The Hollywood Reporter that he still wants to “see some Marvel projects come to television.” When pressed about the Hulk project, Lee noted that it’s definitely still coming—and could come smashing into living rooms by next fall. Continue reading

Marvel wants you to stop complaining about the new Spidey TV show

While Marvel is still basking in the glow of all the Avengers fan love, some of its other properties aren’t being treated so warmly. Viewers of the new Ultimate Spider-Man animated series have taken to the net to complain about its humor, plotting and tone, and in response Marvel’s chief creative officer, Joe Quesada, has sent a very simple message: Get over it and stop watching.

Ever since the series premiered on Disney XD earlier this year, some adult viewers have been blasting it online for being just a little too childish for their taste. Continue reading

New Pulp writer/editor Win Scott Eckert has announced the writers and story titles for the upcoming Moonstone Books release of Green Hornet: Still At Large. Included in that list is ESO co-host Bobby Nash.

I’m pleased to announce the final contents for The Green Hornet: Still at Large, due out from Moonstone Books in July 2012.

Edited by Joe Gentile, Win Scott Eckert, and Matthew Baugh, this third anthology featuring the 1960s Green Hornet, based on the television program starring Van Williams and Bruce Lee, follows The Green Hornet Chronicles and The Green Hornet Casefiles, and will ship in two editions. Marvel Announces First X-Men By Neal Adams And Christos Gage

This morning, Bleeding Cool reported the news that Neal Adams was to draw and co-write a First X-Men book with Christos Gage, following sources and stories over two years old. We presumed it was his much-promised and signed-off Wolverine series.

Well, it looks like we were half right. (UPDATE: Oh look, Wolverine is in it.) Marvel have just announced it. The announcement is still going on.
