In response to the lawsuit filed in February by Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., Dynamit has filed what amounts to a blanket denial to accusations of trademark and copyright infringement and unfair competition involving its Lord of the Jungle and Warlord of Mars comics.

ERB Inc., which holds the existing rights to the works of the author of Tarzan and John Carter of Mars, claims the comics Lord of the Jungle, Warlord of Mars, Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris and Warlord of Mars: Fall of Barsoom are likely to “deceive, mislead and confuse the public” about the source or sponsorship of the content, causing “irreparable injury” to the family-owned company. It also insists the titles were published without authorization after Dynamite Entertainment President Nick Barrucci was told that Dark Horse held the licenses for the Tarzan and John Carter of Mars books.

‘Batman’, ‘Family Guy’s Adam West gets Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Adam West has been awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 83-year-old became a television icon in 1965 when he starred as Batman in the ABC TV series.

He currently stars as a fictionalised version of himself in Fox animation Family Guy.

Walking Dead location scouts accidentally leak major S3 plot point

A small town Georgia newspaper may have just leaked a major location and plot point for season three of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Possible spoilers ahead!

According to the Times-Herald in Coweta County, Walking Dead location scouts have been meeting with officials from the small town of Senoia to use the locale as a major set in season three—and perhaps season four—of the zombie survival series.

Sorry, X-Men fans—Hunger Games sequel delays First Class 2

We finally know when work will begin on a sequel to X-Men First Class—but thanks to the success of The Hunger Games, it’s apparently going to take a bit longer than we’d hoped.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence, who stars as Katniss in The Hunger Games, has quickly become a bona fide star in the wake of the film’s box office bonanza. So big, in fact, that she won’t be available to shoot that X-Men: First Class sequel until January 2013.

“Howdy!” Mike Gordon will be a guest at Marcon 47 (Multiple Alternative Realities Convention) in Columbus, OH April 6-8. This fantasy & science fiction show has been held in the Midwest every year since 1966 and features some great guests from a variety of media. The theme for this year’s gathering is “Galactic Beach Party” which sounds like a perfect place for Tiki Zombie!
