Star Trek 2, more like empire strikes back?

Screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have, officially, broken the story for Star Trek 2, and they reveal the pressures that weren’t there on the first one … as well as the need to bust up the happy family.

It’s never easy crafting a follow-up to a critical and financial hit like 2009′s Star Trek. While no one knew quite what to expect from J.J. Abrams’ reboot, now the bar has been set. And the surprise of seeing exactly how this new Enterprise crew—featuring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Karl Urban—would fare has worn off.

Comedian Leslie Nielsen Has Died At 84

God Speed Leslie, R.I.P.

It has been confirmed that comedian Leslie Nielsen has lost his battle with pneumonia. Nielsen acted in such comic gems as Airplane and the Naked Gun series. He passed away at 84 in a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Very sad to hear about his passing he made us laugh, and took us to Forbidden Planets and let’s not call him Shirley. God Speed Leslie Nielsen.

Oxygen atmosphere found on Saturn’s moon Rhea

NASA find Moon with Oxygen Atmosphere

Astronomers have announced that an oxygen atmosphere has been found on Saturn’s second largest moon, Rhea.

At about 527,000 kilometres from Saturn, Rhea orbits inside the planet’s magnetic field. Rhea’s oxygen atmosphere is maintained by the ongoing chemical breakdown of water ice on the moon”s surface, driven by radiation from Saturn’s magnetosphere.
