Want to see some of DC’s most respected writers and artists turn into excited fanboys? Just get them talking about Batman.

That was the scene on Sunday at Dragon*Con’s Dark Knight panel, where a standing room-only crowd gathered to hear Neal Adams, Paul Dini, Tim Sale and Brian Stelfreeze discuss all things Bruce Wayne, including their individual contributions to the Bat-canon. The event also became an informal tribute to DC elder statesman Adams, whose seminal Batman work inspired his fellow panelists.

The Force Unleashed II

Fans of Star Wars gaming packed the Penny Arcade Expo 2010’s classy new main theater inside Seattle’s Benaroya Concert Hall for a preview of the franchise’s upcoming titles, The Force Unleashed 2 and The Old Republic. Force Unleashed 2 dev Emilo Torres kicked the panel off with a screening of the E3 cinematic trailer, and played up the mystery of how there can even be a sequel after the events of the first game. Is this Starkiller the same man, or is he a clone with faulty memory implants, and perhaps more importantly, does it even matter?

Bruce almighty!!!

Everyone’s favorite legendary cult movie star, Bruce Campbell, revealed his plans to make an epic horror-comedy sequel to My Name Is Bruce, a film that would be unlike anything anyone’s ever seen before (except kind of like The Expendables and 300 combined). The biggest thing holding back the project so far is that they seem to be having some, er, script problems, as you can see from his recent Los Angeles Times interview.

Two Asteroids to Pass by Earth Wednesday

A Close Call

Its like a plot for a Doctor Who adventure, two asteroids, several meters in diameter and in unrelated orbits, are to pass within the moons distance of Earth on Wednesday, September 8th

Both asteroids should be observable near closest approach to Earth with moderate-sized amateur telescopes. Neither of these objects has a chance of hitting Earth.
